This week in Maths, there was no workbook for the Number Ninjas, but we did a lot of worksheets on Adding integers and order of operations. The adding integers was hard at the start but I got the hang of it as I went through the worksheet. The order of operations is also known as BEDMAS. This is BEDMAS:

Art Soiree
THE GREAT GREY MAIN ART SOIREE
The art soiree is an event that happens at Grey Main School every 2 years, where students produce pieces of art that people can auction and buy. The Soiree celebrates The Arts, so there is also a choir preforming, and other student performances like dancing, music and other things. In Totara, we are making Tie Dye Tee shirts.

This week my workbook for maths is on word problems. I found this quite easy, as it was just subtraction, addition, multiplication and division. There was also a bit of decimals. This is my workbook:

Main Star 2 Book Review
For one of my Main Stars I had to create a book review on a book I have read over the Term. The book I chose was the invention of Hugo Cabret.
Main Star 1 Reflection
For one of my Main Stars I had to plan a meal for my family using a budget from $20. We didn't have to make the meal, but when I was doing it, I was getting hungry because I did Nachos!

This week in Maths I had a workbook. The workbook was based on 3D shapes, we had to classify them and notice how many edges, vertices and faces the shape has. I still need to work on this but I am a bit better than last week. Here is my Workbook.
We also had to make a DLO. Here is my DLO:

Week 2 Term 3 2018 Reflection
This week I have been busy. We had to do a picture graph in Maths. My topic was on Where Would You Rather Go For A Holiday? There was 5 choices of places to go and I asked 25 people's opinion. 8/25 people would like to go to France. This was the most common place to go. The least common place was Peru with only 2/25 people wanting to go there. Here is my presentation of research on where people would like to go for a holiday:
Also,Totara 3 have been doing a mini business on gardening. We put ourselves into small groups and researched different things like planter boxes, pots that are biodegradable like egg cartons, different vegetables and how long they take to germinate and mature. I was in a group that researched and started planting seeds into the egg cartons. So far we have plant Garden Peas, Coriander and Lettuce. We have to water these every day with a spray bottle so the egg cartons don't decompose. Here is some pictures of the plants we have done so far:
