Main Star 4 Reflection T1

For this Main Star I had to keep a diary of what I did and the highlights of each day for a week. I found this easy because I do a lot of things during the week like Swimming, Touch, Dance and much more.

Main Star 6 Reflection T1

For this Main Star I had to check off my camp gear list. I did this independently and completed the task. I found this easy to pick out the clothes but hard to get everything in!

Main Star 3 Reflection T1

For this Main Star I had to make mini Book for Junior students teaching them how to be a good friend. I found this easy because I have many friends and know how to be a great friend!

Main Star 5 Reflection T1

For this Main Star I had to research a healthy lunchbox and design a lunchbox menu for a week. This wasn't very hard as I make my own lunch most of the time and I know a lot about healthy and unhealthy foods, for example: Did you know that there is an average of 39 teaspoons of sugar in a coke can?

For this Main Star I had to do a Random Act of Kindness for each day of the week for 1 week. I found this easy because I love to do random acts of kindness.

Electronics Week 4 Term 1

Electronics

This week on Friday Mamaku 1 had an electronic session with Andrew. At the start we had to get into groups of three or four, in my group I had Katelynn F, Billie-Jean and Hannah. 

In our group we learnt about LED's. To activate the LED's we put the longer wire on a battery which had a plus for positive and the other side stands for negative. We had to find out the temperature, strength using the LED's and a data collector. We also learnt about how Valves take air in one way and doesn't come out the other. 

I found it easy to understand the readings of the light when it flashes because short flashes are 1's, medium flashes are 10's and long flashes are 100's. I found it hard to get the LED to work sometimes.

Numeracy Reflection W2 T1 2017

This week for Numeracy I have been working on graphs with my buddy Billie-Jean. Our graph topic was on Mamaku's favorite movie is. The choices were Mama Mia, Other, Star Wars, Pete's Dragon and How to train your dragon. The highest score was 'Other' and the lowest score was Star Wars, Mama Mia and how to train your dragon.

Literacy Reflection W2 T1 2017

This week for Literacy I have been doing lists about the top 10 people I would like to meet and a list about things you should know about me. I found the first list hard because there weren't many people I wanted to meet but in the end I got to 11 people. The other list was easy because it was about me and I only got to 3 things!

For this Main Star I had to help out at home in at least three ways. Instead of three, I did, not four; but  five ways of helping out at home. I found this easy because I do a lot of helpful things at home, so I did not find this very difficult.

Welcome to 2017 W1 T1

Kia Ora everyone and welcome to Kyra @ GMS's blog 2017!
It's me Kyra, with my buddy Angelina who is going to log onto her Chromebook next week.

Kia Ora, this is Angelina here and I got 71% and my speed was 11 words per minute. My rank was Two- Finger Typist. I look forward to learning how to type better because I want to finish my work faster.

Kyra's comment: I think Angelina did well for her first typing test for the year, she will need some practice but she will have an amazing tech 2017!

Hi, it's Kyra here again and I would like to share my typing results and rank with you. For my Speed I got 23 words per minute and 85% accuracy. My rank was a two- finger typeset, here is a picture:

Angelina's comment: I think Kyra has done a good job for her first time after six weeks because she probably did not do it in the holidays.
