This week for Kiwi Kids News I got 100% again. This was the same score as last time. I am going to try to get 100% every time. Here is my results:

Also this week I have been doing a Typing test. I got 26 WPM, and 90 percent. Next time I will try to get 28 for WPM  and 95 for percent. Here is my results:

End Of Year Reflection T4

This year has been a very exciting year because of all the new skills I have learnt on my Chromebook. Some of the skills I have learnt are learning how to copy and paste, do a blog post and many others.

Over the year Mamaku has been doing many exciting events like Fox Glacier camp,  big day out,  swimming sports,  athletics,  team time, moving into our giant classroom-Mamaku hub, moving into the new library-Nga Manawa, School concert, book week, learning mandarin and many more.

For my Literacy my skills have improved by being in a few different groups throughout the year. Those groups were:  find the Literacy Elements, Author's purpose and vocabulary. I am most proud of my Literacy Elements slide that I did with Reagan B. Here it is:



For my Numeracy , my skills have improved a lot with my fractions, Decimals, Division and Multiplication. I have been in two groups throughout the year, these groups have helped me with my Numeracy. I am most proud of my Fractions and Decimals slide. Here it is:



For topic I am most proud of my Water Safety activities I have done this term. The one I like the most is my Aqua code. Here it is:



When we are on the internet we have to remember to be cyber safe. For this Main Star I had to make a Christmas present for someone. Here is what I did:

For my Homemade gift I decided to plant some flowers and let them grow.  To make the pots I used the bottom of a milk and ketchup container, me and my brother decorated the pot’s with Christmas items like presents, candy canes, swirls, cookies, snowflakes, people, sleighs and other things.
We made these for our Aunty & Uncle.

Summary: I liked this book because it was all about surviving in the wild. This book was nice and short so it was easy to read. The characters were Colette, Nicky, Paulina, Violet, Pamela, Professor Hyena, Ryder and Ruby.

Thea Stilton and the Great Tulip Heist

Rating: *****-5/5 stars because there is lot's of information about making Tulip Bulbs.
Recommendation: 9-10 years because it is a great book but it has quite a few hard countries to pronounce like Aalsmeer.
Summary: I liked this book because there is a lot of information about Towns and cities in Netherlands. It also told you how to say "That's me" in French, you say C'est Moi. The characters are Colette, Nicky, Paulina, Violet, Pamela, Jan, Verbena, Vincent, Casper and lot's more.

Bonus Reflection T4 W7

For my Bonus Reflection this week I have been doing a Kiwi Kids News Reflection. For my Kiwi Kids News quiz I got 100%.   I found none of questions hard because the quiz was the same as last week. Here is my results:

This week for Numeracy I have been doing 2 Christmas based numeracy activities. The first one was about using co-ordinates to make a Christmas item. The Christmas Item I got was a reindeer-Rudolph I think. I didn't find anything hard because I love doing co-ordinates. The second activity was about doing Christmas jokes but using math questions/answers to figure out the answer for the joke. Here is my work:

This week for Literacy I have been doing 2 things: my Word Work and a Christmas activity. For Word Work I made up a task which was to write six of my spelling words in a tile type way. Example:

I found it hard to make the tiles because there was lot's of them to make. Although I found it easy to do the rest of the task because it was just writing in letters. Here is my Word Work:

For my Christmas activity I did a Kiwi theme lyrics of the 12 days of Xmas, I also had to make my lyrics shaped as a Christmas tree. I found it hard to put the lyrics into a shape of a Christmas tree. I found it easy to do the lyrics in a Christmas theme because I live in NZ!Here is my work:

Summary: I liked this book because it was about Dolphins. The characters of this book was Antonia, Cai, Swirl, Bubbles, Jet, Mr & Mrs Pacific, and many others. There are many problems throughout the book bu it is surely an adventure a Dolphin could never forget!

This week I have been doing a Kiwi Kids News quiz. I got the same score as last time, this was 90 points. Next time I am going to try to get all the questions right. The question I didn't know was What space object has come the closest to earth. The answer to this question was the Moon. Here are my results:

Summary: I liked this book because it was quite funny with the characters that were related to real people like Billy Squeak-spare. The characters of this book were Billy Squeak-spare, Creepella, The Syllable Sisters, Shivereen and heaps of others. This book is about Creepella, Shivereen and Billy going to find the ancient Ghost Pirate Treasure.

For Literacy this week I have been doing lot's of things like my Reading follow up, my Word Work and my Work on Writing. For my follow up I had to read an article about Wisdom Teeth and then create an Abcya Word Cloud including the key words from the article; I also had to screencastify my Abcya word cloud. Go Girl Holiday 30 BC Reflection

Summary: I liked this book because it was nice and short. The characters of this book was Iris, Iris's little brother Kick, Iris's Mum & Dad and Iris's Papa and Nan. This book is about Iris and her family going to see her Nan and Papa. Iris has a couple of problems throughout the book but it turns out to be a fantastic holiday for her. I would give this book **** out of five stars. I would recommend this book for 6-8 years.

This week for Literacy I have been doing Word Work, Work on Writing and a follow up. For my Word Work I decided to do blue vowels. Blue vowels is when you do all of your vowels blue.

Kiwi Kids News & Typing Test Reflection W4 T4

This week I did a Kiwi Kids News Quiz. I got 90%, the question I got wrong was about the four nations. Next time I will try to get 100%. Here is my results: 

I also did a typing test to improve with my typing. I got 86% which is alright. My WPM was 22. Next time I will aim for 25 WPM and 90% for my %.

For my Work On writing I have been doing Myths, Legends & Fables. My Task was to create my own mythical creature. I chose to do a gecko crossed with a seahorse, the species name was the Tethys Sea Gecko. I found it hard to draw it on a piece of paper, but I got there, eventually. I found the rest of my DLO easy because there wasn't much to do.

Summary: I liked this books because there was lot's of characters in it which were ready for an adventure. The characters were Geronimo Stilton, Sterling, the dragon of the rainbow, Sparkle, Scribblehopper, King Thunderhorn, Bisty Luckybug, Cackle and Mixy Von Troll. The story is about a dragon egg being stolen by a bad dragon who gets turned into a good dragon. I would recommend this book for children 7-11 years. I would give this book 5/5 stars because there were lot's of characters.
