Main Star 3 Reflection T4 2017

For this Main Star I had to give up my time to spend with elderly person. Here is my reflection:

On the 4th of November I was at my Aunt's house and I got to talk to my Nana and Grandad on Skype. Skype is basically an app where you can talk to whoever but with their face in it-so you can actually see them. This was convenient as my Grandparents and most of my family live a completely different country.

I must have spent like half an hour with them because we all had lot’s to talk about. During the conversation I told my Nana and Grandad about the big walk me, mum, my brother and my Aunty were going to do the next day. We also told them our plans  for the day after finishing talking to them. We said we were going to go to the Nelson market and some shops around town and then to one of our favorite restaurants, La Gourmandise. la Gourmandise is French restaurant that does Crepes and Galettes. I love my Nana and Grandad because my Grandad is really funny and my Nana has been knitting me soft toys since I was about 5 years old.

I also got to spend time with my Aunty and Uncle. Me, my Aunty, my brother and my mum did a 10 km walk together while my Uncle was at work. After we went to Burger Culture for lunch and met Uncle. The day before, me, Uncle and my brother took their dog down to the Ruby Bay beach for a walk. We also helped them take boxes to their NEW HOUSE IN NELSON! And of course we went to the Saturday market, as it is kind of a tradition when we go up to Nelson!

I really LOVE my family!!!🍉😊😉💜

Main Star 1 Reflection W6 T4 2017

For this Main Star I had to make a paper glider that flies at least 15 meters. The paper plane that flew the distance of 16 meters was called the Classic Dart except modified a little. We got the instructions from a how to make paper planes book by Nick Robinson. There was over 25 designs in the book, which me, my brother and my dad tried. We tested the planes on our front yard. We used a tape measure that only went to 8000, so we marked 8000 and kept going. My dad could get the plane constantly to 16 meters and me and my brother could fly it constantly to 6 meters. The other planes we tried flew between 4-7 meters. Here are some pictures of the planes:

Thanks to my Dad and my brother I was able to do this! 😃😀😏
