The Mine's Afire!

Today we read another piece of "The Mine's Afire!" story and did another comprehension activity on the book. Here is my slide:

As one of the activities we had to do a little bit of research on one of the birds Tommy saw on the bush walk he was on with his class. Here is mine:

The next time we read it, Tommy will tell us about the mine exploding.

  1. Hi Kyra,
WOW! Thanks for posting both parts of your work! I was really impressed with the detail that you had added to your answers! Are you enjoying the novel so far? (I can tell you , it gets far more interesting and sad from here on in!!)
Your research on the Wood Pigeon looks amazing! I really like the layout and I never knew that they could live up to 10 years! Keep up the great work, I am super impressed!

  2. Kia ora Kyra, I really like your post on wood pigeons. I hardly knew anything about them until I read this post. Maybe next time you could make the writing a little bit bigger, but other that that it is really good. Noho ora mai. From Honor
