Week 2 Reflection Term 4 2018

This week in maths we have been focusing on angles. First we started by looking at all the different types of angles. I have named them and their degrees in the google drawing down below. To measure angles you would use a protractor which is also on the google drawing. Have you measure angles before?

  1. Kia ora Kyra,
Thanks for sharing your Google Drawing of angles. You have created a great visual representation of the different angles. I had forgotten the names of some of these angles - it's been a long time since I was at school! I use angles a lot for coding and robotics with students at schools so this will be good to share with them so they understand angles too. Did you practice turning your body all of the different angles - can you jump and turn 90 degrees, 180 degrees and 360 degree?

    1. Hi there Tania, thanks for commenting on my blog! It must be pretty cool to be working with robotics and coding for different schools. I did a bit of coding last year when I was in Mamaku, but I bet the coding I did was super easy compared to what you do! I also did some coding in Technology with Miss Chowfin.

I can jump 180 degrees around while I'm on the trampoline but I can only do 90 degrees on the ground. As for the 360 degrees, I could probably do that trying to do a pirouette in dance!

      Thanks for commenting!
